The Just Concluded NUESA Inter-Departmental league saw the Agric and Bio-resources engineering (ABE) team emerge champion of the faculty of Engineering. The final match which was hosted at the Akanu Ibiam Stadium UNN, on Saturday morning 10th June 2017 had ABE (Acquired Barcelona experience) play Mechanical Engineering 2 goals to nill.
The defending champion (Electrical engineering team) lost in the semi final to the Mechanical engineering team which later gave in to the winning ABE team.

Speaking with the director of sports Comr. Ogbanufe Kelvin, he said he is very grateful to all engineering students who supported and made the competition a success, pointing out that although there we initial constraint that threatened the possibility of the competition even a few days before the commencement, but the engine guys trusted and worked in all way to make it come true.
